Hello Carole, yes, they do overlap. When I first had the idea for a crime series, I saw it as several different divisions within the same constabulary, all sharing the same Home Office pathologist and Force Medical Officers and psychologists. Then when Nikki Galena became popular I wasn't sure about writing the others, but found it worked out well. It gives me a little break from the same characters too, especially the Matt Ballards books now that he is retired from the Force. No forensics and no warrant cards to make things easier! It's a real teaser for me and I do enjoy it. So pleased you like them all, and I'm already writing the next Matt book. No rest around here! Ha-ha! xx

Good Morning? I have just finished Secrets on the Fens I had to contact you to say wow, just when I think you can not possibly improve on your plots you do it again. Your books are one of the only ones that I never even get a glimmer right of who did what. So glad Eve not ill as such it was a concern. The end with the canal boat totally out of left field. Hi Joy Where do you get your ideas from? I always wonder in terms of moving the characters on in their lives. I am so happy there will be more Jackman and Evans books. Jackman and Evans are my favourite duo and Richard Armitage’s narration just adds to the stories. I have just finished the Night Thief so I cannot wait!

I know you've said recently that the next Jackman book is at Audible being recorded, but do we have an approximate release date and are we allowed to know the title? I am dying for my next dose of that Armitage talent and your next thrilling story. I'm nearly through the Nikki Galena series and i'm trying to hold off speeding through them in case I run out of your books!
