Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Gloria Feldt I wrote No Excuses: 9 Ways Women Can Change How We Think About Power a decade ago, and have been teaching women its leadership skills and tools that start with how to know their power and embrace it with confidence, authenticity and joy. And I realized that after you embrace your power, there is another even more important question: The power to what? How will you use your power? What is your intention? Embracing power and elevating intention are the linchpins to achieving gender and racial parity in leadership at last, in my observation. So I wrote Intentioning: Sex, Power, Pandemics, and How Women Will Take The Lead for (Everyone's) Good to help women answer that question for themselves and to help organizations create cultures where everyone can thrive.
