How do you get inspired to write?

Gift Gugu Mona More often than not, my writings are Divinely inspired. When under the influence of the Holy Spirit, I feel compelled to write things that I never would have as a writer or thinker. Again, I find inspiration from African storytelling traditions and from trailblazers on whose shoulders I stand. My Paternal Grandmother was a fantastic storyteller and my Dad such a terrific poet and Philosopher. I sincerely give this credit to them, because they inspire me to write. Writing grants, me the privilege to express myself, on platforms that generations before me could not access. In addition, those who provide unwavering support for my endeavours also inspire me to write, because each time I hear how my writing has impacted someone's life positively, I find more courage to write.
