Kim Brosan It's not necessary but gives you the backstory on the main character and the State agency she works for. I think the book can stand alone without having read The Whistler.
Timothy Glass It will sure help you understand the backstory
Leah No, it is not necessary. It is a stand alone story with characters from a previous book.
Elizabeth The trilogy is as follows:- Witness to a trial followed by The Whistler and then The Judge's List.

No you do not have to have read the first two books of John Grisham. What an amazing author he is.
Sandra Jackson - Alawine No, it's a stand alone book.
Biggus Do yourself a favour, and don't read either. Go for one of his older books, the ones he actually wrote.
Gregg Donaldson Thanks Kim & Leah,

Good to know.
Kris Parks Not necessary but if you ever plan on reading it at some point, you should read it first because there will be a few spoilers.
