Gae Polisner
Had a kid I ADORED in elementary school... lived on my block, was one of my closest friends. Probably had a 11-year old crush on him, too, etc. He was the Charlie Brown to my Lucy and the Smee to my Peter Pan (yes, I acted in elementary school and middle school). By the time we got to high school, he had become a stoner ("Dead Heads" we called em back them) and we hung out in totally separate circles, but we always, always smiled at each other and waved when we passed on another in the halls. And I can't find him anywhere anymore. And I've looked.
An old acquaintance told me he thought he heard he died. . . but he wasn't sure . . . and this guy shared a name with a fairly famous writer, so when I google it, I get the latter not the former. Gosh, I miss you DE. Hope you are well and not gone. <3
