Goodreads asked Timothy Gwyn:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Timothy Gwyn Well, this is kind of a random question. I don't think there are many mysteries in my life, beyond "where do the socks go?" This comes to mind because I had to move the washing machine last week, and a long-lost sock was recovered from the drift of dryer lint and far-flung cat litter huddling in the farthest recesses of the laundry room. Sadly, it was not the one sock we have long hoped to find. In fact, I think its partner has been tossed long ago, so it has been rescued from its long purgatory only to find itself still alone, except for the company of the other widowed socks gathering dust behind the upstairs television.
So, yes: mystery, intrigue, and umm, pathos?
