Goodreads asked Logan Beckwith:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Logan Beckwith I had a guy come into my computer repair shop asking about how to get someone out of their phone (He believed that he was being hacked.) I asked him a few questions and discovered that he believed his ex wife was hiring Russians to hack his phone and steal his data / make his life a living hell.
I couldn't see anything wrong with the phone and sent him on his way. I told him to go to the police if he actually has evidence of it, or come back to me if he can show me what's going on.
He comes back a while later, same complaint, but saying that his wife and her attorneys are now trying to have him committed for insanity and tries to get me to look at his phone again.
This time, things are definitely messed up but still no proof anyone was hacking it. I gave him an anti-malware program for it and he left again. At this point, I'm thinking he's probably a little coocoo too.
He comes back a week later, his phone is doing stuff by itself, its definitely in Russian, and he has no control. I urged him to take it to the police station around the corner while it's going on and he rushes out the door.
I've never seen nor heard from him since.
Sometimes I wonder if they got it sorted out or if he got abducted or something...
