Goodreads asked Diana Pavlac Glyer:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Diana Pavlac Glyer When I was in high school, I read my first book about the Inklings. It was engaging, well-written, and widely acclaimed. And I was convinced that it was WRONG. It took more than 20 years of research deep in the archives, reading letters and diary entries and faded pencil marks on manuscripts. I was laughed at and mocked, and I collected dozens of rejection letters. Where did that deep dive into the creative process of Lewis, Tolkien, and the Inklings lead me? How did the gut instincts of a persistent high school kid overturn the dominant (and dominating) narratives and change the way we talk about these authors?
