What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

David Hollander For a short period when I was around 10 years old, I spent a number of nights watching lights landing in a field about a quarter mile from my house. They were blue lights, and they moved in total silence. This happened every night for about two weeks, then never again. Around the same time, I was having strange dreams in which I was swimming through a liquid that I could breathe, trying to get to a hatch that, in the dream, I knew contained someone I loved, but that always closed just before I could gain entrance. Taken in combination, these have always felt like novelistic elements to me.
