I've actually used this one (it isn't a spoiler, though). I once had a girlfriend who more or less vanished...actually, two! Must be something I ate. Anyway, it took a while to find out what happened to them and in both instances it was, well, exciting in a fiction-making sense.

I'm having trouble figuring out which is the first Frank Gould story. Is there more than one series? Where do you suggest I begin, and how did you pick the name for the character? Is he a combination of people you've known or a more random mix of people? Thanks, Leona
