Tobin Marks On 28 July, 1978 a friend of mine was in a horrible motorcycle accident. I was there and tied the tourniquet on his almost torn off leg. In 2000 he left an angry voice mail message on my phone. At the exact time I was listening to his rant I opened a letter from a mutual friend. In the letter was my angry friend’s obituary. His death occurred two days before I got the voicemail. I figured the date was off on my phone, but after checking all the other calls it became obvious that the date on the phone was correct. There’s a lot more to this story, but that was the gist of it.
