The only part that left me feeling a little unsatisfied is the lack of explanation for the hopscotch grid (3), lost dog poster(4), pennies(5), etc. What did that all mean? Chizmar even asked Gallagher about it at the end and Gallagher chose not to answer. It just felt like kind of a cop out. Like perhaps Chizmar himself never really had an explanation for it, so he just chose not to provide one. (hide spoiler)]
