Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Angela Pepper I sat by a lake with a notepad and did a free association exercise with words. I wrote down the number 13, which is the current book's place in a series, and my associations with that number. The number led to ideas about bad luck and fate, plus some other stuff that must have been gathering a while in my subconscious... or dropped on me by the muses. When I found an idea that scared me a little, I knew it was the one.
