Hi Marlia, That's a tough question. I've always been a storyteller, but I think I felt like an author in varying degrees as I hit milestones on the journey -- contracting a book with a publisher, seeing it published and holding it in my hands, those first reviews. They all made me feel a little more like a professional writer.
