Vishnu Madhu
Vishnu Madhu asked:

New York is just 5 hours ahead of London. That means, if they had arrived in London one day in advance, they should have arrived in New York one day in advance too. Still, they missed the steamer 'China' only by a few minutes. How is this possible? How did they not know in New York that they were one day in advance? Thanks.

Matt Reardon Very good question. Was thinking the same thing myself.
For someone as supposedly smart and logical and all seeing/knowing as Fogg, this seems like a major error on his part.
Good thing they didn't travel West to East!
