That moment. . . when you're sitting down and writing and then BOOM writer's block! You can't think anymore, and you're out of ideas! :( How do you deal with that?

Shannon Messenger I've never actually been "out of ideas". But I do sometimes feel stuck, like a scene isn't cooperating, or the plot doesn't want to move forward. And when that happens I have to examine my choices. Writing is all about decision making, so usually I've either made bad decision and it's messing me up, or I'm choosing to send the plot a direction it doesn't want to go. Either way, I just have to correct the mistake, and then I'm able to get going again.
