Yes, there are two characters who develop romantic feelings for each other and have emotional conflicts based on that dynamic. That romantic conflict has a big effect on the plot + character development. There are some references to physical desire in their thoughts, but there are not explicit scenes of physical intimacy...the narration focuses more on the internal torture of developing feelings for someone who is supposed to be your enemy. There was language use, but it didn't feel overly excessive.
