I miss them too. Mac is probably my favorite character to write. But I don't plan any new Life Lessons novels soon. I do hope to come back to them years down the road, when the kids are older. (Mac with a teenage daughter?) And I'm not completely ruling out a short story or something. But no new novels for a while :(
The problem is that these books were always meant to be both police procedural mystery and relationship romance in a balanced and blended way. That means Tony had to get involved in one of Mac's murder cases, so the two story lines could come together. And four murders are as many as any mild-mannered teacher can plausibly fall into. I try to keep my writing feeling real. (I already have reviews saying "If I was a friend of Tony's, I'd move." LOL He does know too many murdered people.)
I'm starting work on a new series, mystery with a touch of paranormal, and I hope to write other books in different genres. With luck, I will write new characters you also come to love. Thanks for the question.

Hi Kaje, Love the pics for September's writing prompt. Thing is, I never saw the post for the entries before they were decided. Wondering if there is a setting that I'm missing or something, or if the images are being posted elsewhere? I did receive the results, however, so I am still getting those. Just wondering, as I so enjoy writing these short stories. Brooklyn Graham

Kaje: just finished re-reading the Hidden Wolves series and added to the experience the excellent latest opus (Hidden Wolves 4: Unsafe Exposure). Kudos to you for one of the best series I have ever read (and I read a lot)! And because I am insatiable, please tell me you are planning to continue the series?. You just reached the point where the human/Other dynamic, the werewolf/werewolf, is fascinating

I have been re-reading the hidden wolves series, in anticipation for the fourth book. The details I missed out in my earlier reading, mainly because of the hotness factor-including the garter belt (ouch!), really moved me...the constant fear/anxiety of being "different" in today's world, where the color of your skin or what you wear may cost you your freedom or your life.
