I get inspired to write by playing the game of "what if". If the scenario I come up with seems interesting and unique, I'll take a shot at writing about 1000 words. If it still stands up, I'll continue. If not, I'll put it aside. But I never delete anything. I always find that I can use parts of discarded writing for something else later.
