In Belly Up, why doesn't Teddy give the phone number that said they were Summer, but weren't, to the police because they be able to find out who it was?

Stuart Gibbs Not all phone numbers come up as actual numbers on a phone. So the police wouldn't be able to trace it.

Will we eventually have more backstory on characters before spy school? we've seen a lot on Ben and Erica for example, but what about Zoe or some other reoccurring characters? I know not everyone has super dramatic pasts but it would be cool just to know a little.
