What are you currently working on?

Eric Madeen I'm in the final editing stages of a novel about a driven postmodern American hellbent on breaking through the rigid cultural barriers of the ancient culture where I reside. It's a novel that has as its driver revenge and is set on the battlefields of an august and exclusive old tennis club in Yamate-cho in Yokohama and the university where the protagonist is employed on a "McContract." Things come to a boil making for a sizzling read. It's told in the first person and the beginning allows for an immediate emotional entryway into the rich historical setting that was the foreign settlement in Yokohama back in the Meiji Resoration. So there's a bit of history but the lion's share is set in the pomo present. It's entitled: Tennis Clubbed, Snubbed and Rubbity-Dub Dubbed in the Land of the Rising Sun.
