forgive me if you've answered this before! would you ever consider writing a romance with a female love interest? you have the magic touch when it comes to writing romance, i'd love to see you branch out if it'd be something you're up for!
Penny Reid
If you mean writing a romance between two women, then the answer is of course! Yes!! I think all (or maybe most? ... perhaps I'll settle for *many*) authors want to tell as many stories from as many different points of view as possible. As an aside, personally, writing about people who have a lived experience different from mine makes me the most happy.
That said, the stumbling blocks (for me) these days are the answers to these questions: 1) Am I the right person to tell this story? 2) Should I tell this story? 3) Am I capable of telling this story?
If the answer to all the questions is yes, then I'll write the book. If any of the answers is no, then I won't. Or if I do write it, I won't publish it. I then amplify an #ownvoices author instead. <3

Penny Reid:
Hi Penny, I am curious what is the correct title for each of your latest books. On Amazon.com it says "Elements of Chemistry: Attraction (Hypothesis Series Book 1) and on GoodReads the same book is called "Attraction (Elements of Chemistry #1)" and GoodReads calls the series "Elements of Chemistry." It seems like it could confuse readers looking for the book. Which one is correct?

First of all, you're like, a total rockstar of a writer and I lurve your work! My question is sort of a two-parter. Of all the characters you've created, which character(s) is/are most like your own personality and with which do you relate the most? Also, are any characters inspired by your husband? Which one(s) and how are they similar (looks, personality)? Thanks for answering! Sincerely, Texas Fangirl :)
