Any thoughts one where we might get a tidbit to tide us over for book #8? like a potential release date? title? something we can completely lose any sense of dignity over? or rather those of us who have some left to lose...

I'm still working on it; these things are large and take time.
However, if you're looking for something to read, there's a newsletter (sign up on the website: garonwhited.com) or you can find free bonus stories (extra chapters, a couple of add-on short stories, those sorts of things) at https://garonwhited.com/bonus/
I also have a Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/garonwhited) where I'm posting additional stuff. A few extra chapters of "Fugue," fleshing out what happened in the "Corinthia" chapters, a few "Raising Phoebe" stories--field trips, mostly. That sort of thing. The money goes toward foreign-language translations of the Nightlord series!

I have spent a really long time trying to figure out what Eric's perfect inner-demon was supposed to personify. Its exsistance (or lack of) greatly effects the actions of the later books depending on if it is meant to be Eric's sense of moral code, the idealized version of his perfect self, his own self contempt, or something else I hadn't even considered! What did you see the demon as? Love the books!!!

Did Eric become a wizard when was made a vampire or did he have the ability all along and simply lacked the knowledge and belief needed to do anything with it. I ask because no other vampire in the series gains magic by becoming a vampire unless you count Mary but I am not sure she counts. She did get her powers from Erick's blood and she already had weird psychic voodoo powers of her own right?
