A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1):
I am loathe to start a new long series that isn't finished. But I have heard nothing but good things about this series. How many more books does Martin have to write to finish this series?

George R.R. Martin has confirmed two more books - The Winds of Winter (release 2015-16) and A Dream of Spring.
