Goodreads asked Pete Biehl:

How do you get inspired to write?

Pete Biehl Waiting for inspiration to arrive is like waiting on that one friend that you know is always going to late. My inspiration to write comes during the process of writing. It starts slow, but it's a snowball effect. One scene leads to another, and before I know it, there are more ideas than I can possibly fit into one story. I also recommend writing from an outline, so that, even when inspiration is in short supply, there is a finish line you can begin working toward. Once you do, inspiration will find its way in!
