Hi Mark! I still consider myself a huge fan even though I still haven't finished the first trilogy. Covid has kinda brought me down a bit so I've been looking for more light-hearted fantasies to keep me company. What are some of your favorite feel-good fantasy stories?

I'm not sure I have any in particular. I don't really read fantasy to feel good in the immediate "gee you up" sense.
If a story has no sharp edges I tend to get bored. I guess it would be a Terry Pratchett book where tension is replaced by comedy.

Looking to the future are you tempted to write anything that’d fall more into the Horror category? You seem to enjoy Stephen King, for example. I think there’s often not much difference between darker, realistic, fantasy and the horror genre. Maybe the main difference is the world in which it’s set, with ‘conventional horror’ being more contemporary, in our world?

Have you ever thought of turning one of your book series into an animated Netflix series à la Star Wars Clone Wars? The visuals and art are so impressive, and I feel it would lend so well to Epic Fantasy stories that it seems like a no brainer. Besides I have run out of things to watch on Netflix and I am grasping at straws here!!!
