I've seen this book in lists named "books that are better read in your teens if they are forbidden". So... In a way? It deals with heavy topics and themes, but I believe those would lead to interesting questions and conversations.

So dependant on their maturity, in the library we have this as a year 10 and above book, so 14/15+ however some younger students have had parental permission and have been fine reading it.
