(view spoiler)[Hello. I love AA, WOBM, and W&W, and even though there are a lot of bigger mysteries and important questions I'm looking forward to in the future I've had this weird nagging question in my head since reading AA3. I know the answer is probably that I just need to wait until AA4 but figured it couldn't hurt to ask. How often have students in Lorian Heights had a crystal mark if ever? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I'll go into this more in AA4, but it's uncommon. For first years, they'd be practically nonexistant - maybe a handful per year.
For second years, they're more common, but still extremely uncommon - maybe fifty in the school as a whole. So, less than 1% of the student base, but it's not unheard of.
I don't have hard numbers on this yet - this is purely an estimate for now and subject to possible change before the book actually comes out. (hide spoiler)]

This is not wholly a question, but there is a question present. I wanted to say that I absolutely love the intrinsic lack of “acceptance” language in the world of arcane ascension. As an individual who bumped up the tree in a world quite the opposite, I love feeling “normal” if not mundane. “Same-sex love? I’m sorry, is that not the norm, just like any other?” What was your motivation to include with such nonchalance?

In the books, it is frequently stated that the spire in the unclaimed lands IS NOT the spire in the spider spire, and the spider spire's location is not known to anyone (except maybe to the whispers). It is my personal belief that Wydd pulled a trick similar to what Professor Orden did in the first book, and that the spider spire doesn't technically exist on any map, but it is stored outside/inside of physical space?
