What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Shana Abe Love your writing. I mean, LOVE IT. If you're not in love with the story you're creating, no one else will be, either. And don't be too tough on yourself as you write...mistakes happen. Plots end up surprising you, characters end up surprising you. All of it is part of the journey. Don't be afraid to let things get messy in the creative process.

In fact, just don't be afraid. Period.
