Nick Krimp
Nick Krimp asked Keith R.A. DeCandido:

Hi Keith: I am working on a trilogy and would like to know if I should concentrate on one book at a time or work all three as Ideas come to me. I have the outlines already but sometimes a new idea pops up. Can you let me know? Thanks Nick

Keith R.A. DeCandido I wish I could give you a magic answer that would solve all the problems, but the fact is that the answer to most questions about writing (and publishing) is "It depends."

And there's no right way to write, there's only a right way FOR YOU to write, and you have to find that on your own.

The only advice I can give is to make sure that whatever you're doing doesn't impede your overall progress. In particular, if working on all three books at once is keeping you from finishing ANY of them, that's a problem. You need to finish the story at some point. It might be best to focus on the first book first, and deal with the second and third as they come.
