Do you have any tips for writing? Like where you get inspiration and how you stay on track. I love your books!

Kat Cho Hi! Thank you so much for reading my books! In terms of writing tips, I definitely get inspiration from all the other media I consume. So I just read as much as I can, watch a lot of shows and movies, play video games, etc. Pretty much any kind of storytelling can spark a new idea and you never know when that inspiration will come to you! Many of my writer friends also make aesthetic boards to help inspire them! I also get a lot of inspiration from my everyday relationships. I think a lot of writers tend to subconsciously put things we're dealing with in the moment into our books even if we don't realize it at the time.

For staying on track, I definitely have to do that now that I have deadlines for my publisher. What helps the best is to realize that writing isn't as solitary as it might seem. We always have others who can give us notes and ideas along the way (for me it's my editor and agent, but it's also my critique partners and friends who read my early work). If you feel stuck on something, then try to ask a good friend or critique partner to give it a read and give you thoughts or just talk through your story with you! It might unlock new inspiration!
