Goodreads asked Anthony Eglin:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Anthony Eglin My way of dealing with it, is to write anything. Anything that comes to mind, providing it's related to the part of the plot you're dealing with. It may be drivel but if you keep going sometimes you'll discover the beginnings of an idea that will help you forward. The other way, is to walk away from it (I walk round the garden or make a cup of tea) and go back to later. Churchill put it this way: "If you're going through hell, keep on going!"
