Mariia Manko
Mariia Manko asked Laura Hankin:

Laura, when did you realize yourself as a writer? After writing first book, publishing , success or …? You know this feeling inside «I am truly a writer»

Laura Hankin The first time I felt that way was when I gave a draft of the first book I ever wrote to a friend who had experience in publishing, and he told me he thought it could get published someday. But then I lost that feeling for a while, during all the struggles one goes through while trying to make a career as a writer. I got it back again the night I found out that I got a book deal for Happy & You Know It and I'd be able to quit some of my other day jobs to write full-time! But also I believe that if you love writing and treat it seriously, you don't necessarily need publishing success to consider yourself a writer! The love and practice of it can be enough.
