Mariia Manko
Mariia Manko asked Jillian Dodd:

Jillian, when did you realize yourself as a writer? After writing first book, publishing , success or …? You know this feeling inside «I am truly a writer»

Jillian Dodd I've felt like a writer since I started writing my first book, before it was ever published or before it had any success. I wrote back then and still write for me. If I tried to write what other people think I should write, I couldn't be authentic to myself. Writing is one of my creative outlets.
I wear two hats in this business. Writer and Publisher. When writing, I write for me, getting the story in my head onto paper. When the book is finished, I become the publisher and focus on marketing it. For me as a writer, success is finishing a book and getting it out into the world. As a publisher, success relies more on the sales side of things.
