Donna asked Jeff Wheeler:

First, I want to say I have been a fan since I read the first Muirwood books. As a self-published author first, did you discover any disadvantages or drawbacks in negotiating your contract with 47 North? For example: Did they require you to pull all your books-on-demand and e-books for a certain amount of time prior to publishing those same titles under their banner? Very curious as to how that would work. Thank you.

Jeff Wheeler There were no disadvantages at all. In fact, they allowed me to keep self-published my version of the Muirwood trilogy up until the month they re-branded and re-launched them and then they sold way more copies than I ever did! It was a win-win. Since I didn't have an agent (and still don't), I did hire an attorney to help me understand the contract terms before making the agreement. I continue to self-publish but most of my work still comes through A-Pub.
