Why does it seem like most book trilogies save for like the Beyonders seem to get worse as the books 3rd book arrives? Is it because an author it's hard closing up the plot and feeling the holes in the story line?

Cornelia Funke :) I admit I liked my third parts so far, but some readers may not enjoy the journey through the labyrinths of the stories as much as I do:) In my experience the story choses the path, I just follow
