Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Brent E. Jones Days of Steel Rain at inception was an effort to learn the wartime experiences of a family member who "never talked about it," like so many others couldn't bring themselves to do upon return.
Instead of an individual memoir, I expanded the focus to a collective experience shared through the eyes of a group of men who actually did speak of what they endured... together. Their voices speak for so many who have now left us.
