Goodreads asked Christiane Knight:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Christiane Knight One thing that's helped me a lot recently is befriending other writers. The act of writing can be a lonely business, and it is easy to get caught up in your words and worlds and isolate yourself. [especially right now!]
Join a writing community, and make some connections with writers via social media - in person is even better, but the internet makes it a lot easier to quickly acquaint yourself with authors you might not be able to meet otherwise.
I think it's important to follow authors that are at places in their careers that you aspire to, as well. Most writers share valuable glimpses into their successes and failures, and it is fantastic for the days when you are feeling impostor syndrome or want to see how someone else made it in their field. I've gleaned so many useful tips! It's also another way to feel more connected with a community of others in your field.
