How do you pick book covers? Also is there a process you go through while writing a book?

Madison McCall Hi Shawna and thanks for taking the time to write to me. Okay, how do I pick covers? When I have the idea for a story and I sketch it out I then began looking for a cover that matches what I have in my mind. The only thing I can tell you is I know it when I see it, as that photograph speaks to me.

Next, is there a process I go through while writing a book? I typically have a concept and then start roughing it out and develop a framework, including characters names, etc., and then I start building the story. Sometimes, the book takes on a life of it's own and drifts off a bit from my planned concept, but I don't think that's uncommon with writer's.
