Goodreads asked Danny Lenihan:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Danny Lenihan My debut novel, Rogue, which released in June 2021 was inspired by a Radio 2 interview with Professor Brian Cox, during which he mentioned rogue planets, wandering through our solar system completely untethered to any orbital pathway. I've always been a huge fan of sci-fi and dystopia, so the idea of a rogue planet intrigued me, and I just started writing. For the second book, Enemy, it was all about the continuation of Jaxon's journey, after the evacuation. There was a ton of world-building to do, with an enormous space-station as the setting, so I really enjoyed creating the environment, and weaving Jaxon's story through the various globes.
