So this is probably the longest (almost a month) I've taken on a book and I'm only 180 pages in. Does it start to pick up? Should I consider this a loss? Please convince me why I should keep going or why I should stop. Thanks!

The descriptions of events and relationships and the characters inner machinations could have been accomplished in fewer words and I think made the pace of the read more exciting.(less)
