What would be the best way for Croin or another enchanter like to reverse engineer an enchantment like the jade box or a sword like Selys-Laynn? Also is it possible for a strong enchanter like Professor Vellum to create something like the jaden box without using runes like Wyrnn Jaden?

This is a really good question, but it's going to be discussed directly in AA4, so I'm not going to go into too much detail here.
In brief summary, though, even if the item is foreign in origin, someone can theoretically figure out how each individual component part works and then work on duplicating those components. It may not work identically, but the core functionality can potentially be replicated.

Hi Andrew! So I was wondering if for example I am someone with ice mana and I use let's say Body of Ice. Would elemental weaknesses and overall weaknesses transfer to your body if used enough? example: after using enough times Body of Ice your body will melt if exposed to fire or: your arm will shatter like ice if is hit too hard instead of breaking.
