The show is quite bad. But it got me to read the book, so...

I watched the first episode tonight and so far, it is nothing like the book. I hope it gets better.

Agreed, I'm so glad I read the book, even though I saw the show years ago, because it's so much better. I tried rewatching the show, because I thought maybe I had just forgotten the story, but I couldn't even make it though the first episode.

I totally agree! The show left out so many key details and the changes were hard to overlook—it felt like it missed the heart of the book. But like you, it did lead me to pick up the novel, and I’m so glad I did! For anyone who wants to watch it and compare for themselves, you can check it out on MagisTVHub ( https://www.magistvhub.com/ ). It's a great place to download and watch to see if you feel the same way.

I started watching the show and was shocked at how much of it was changed. I almost quit after the first episode, but I stuck with it. It does get better- but soooo different than the book!

Oh no! My husband's not a reader and I just finished this. I've been telling him how I can't wait to binge the show with him because the book is so good.

Yup, I agree with everyone on this one - the show was nothing like the book, and I was really disappointed by it.
