Why do you think Jim Simons now agreed upon getting himself out to more general public by allowing you to get this much of data about his firm/work even though he could have hid it for more time?

Gregory Zuckerman Good question. My guess is he realized I had spoken to so many people at the firm or associated with the firm, so he wanted to make sure we had some input on the story. But to be clear -- he didn't share any data or information related to their trading, just his life. I had to dig up the trading information.
