How do you get inspiration and energy?

April Henry Deadlines. Emails from fans. Thinking of an idea that would make a good book.

But the honest truth is whether they feel inspired or not, energetic or not, a writer writes. And sometimes that energy and inspiration finds you while you are writing. Even when it doesn't, I know that I can always edit bad writing. I can't edit nothing.
