At the moment, throwing my smartphone in the bin is a) wasteful, and b) enviromentally suspect. But that phone is only "smart" in a marketing sense. Many people treat their pets like Klara, dumped when the novelty is over. Pets cannot (intelligibly) tell us how that feels. An AF like Klara could.(less)
