Write. This sounds obvious, but there's no substitute for the practice. Schedule it, stick to it, make it your habit. Just like practicing the piano, there's never a point where you can't get better at it.
And try new things. Writers tend to be introverted people, but if you want your writing to be published and read by others, you have to interact with people on some level, whether that's submitting a story, doing a book signing, or answering questions on Goodreads as an author =)
