Hey Toni - how did you arrive at that point in your life when you decided to write your first book ?

Toni Allen Hi Jo, I had so many stories going round in my head that it was getting a bit crowded. At first I wrote pieces, not even full stories, maybe just scenes.

I think I finished my first entire book when I was about 22. I was making up a story for someone, to explain spiritual concepts. It was all about a man on his spiritual journey and I was telling my friend bits every time we saw each other, and they asked me to write it down.

At the time I was heavily influenced by Richard Bach's Jonathan Living Seagull and The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah. That will give you a flavour of what I was writing.
