Never cried when reading a novel like I did with this one. Absolutely emotional, stirring and heart-warming ..

Yes, hang in there for sure. I felt like I needed to know whether the brother and sister ever found each other, but I won't give away the ending. (It wasn't what one would expect.)

I think you have to take a break and come back to it. I know I definitely did. I'm not sure if it was because it's slow or it was just so heavy all the time.
Tamie
Definitely keep reading. It's a sweet ending and a great reminder of how unpredictable life can be.

I know it can get a little boring as it is very slow the first half. Take a break and come back to it. It took me months together to finish the first half but believe me, the second half is awesome. It is worth the wait. As many others said, the emotions are so well considered that it brings tears.

I'm doing this one as an audiobook because my library doesn't have the regular book. It is soooooooooooooooooooo boring and I love Khaled Hosseini. I don't know if the book is disappointing or if it's the way it's being read but my interest is just not there.
Jake
I abandoned it. No regrets.
Tracey Leonard
yes, it will pick up and it is a very satisfying read.
Maureen Pescaia
I did it in audio book format. Having someone read it to me was great and I didn't care how long it took. What an amazing ending!
Carol Kappe
The ending is amazing. Big tear jerker.
