Jason and Katherine's relationship is very interesting. Why did he marry Fallon's mother? Why didn't he marry Katherine if they've been together for so long?

That's something that would take a long time to answer .An entire story is centered around their relationship and the struggles that kept them apart. Since their affair was off and on, it was a culmination of timing and circumstance. Jason married Patricia during a time when he and Katherine were apart. Coupled with her alcoholism, Jared's father, and guilt over Madoc's mother, there was a lot working against them. Over time and with growing maturity, they both grew up and explored a far healthier relationship than what they had when they were younger.
